My research work consists in the study of the stellar evolution and nucleosynthesis, stellar pulsations, as well as the chemical evolution of the Milky Way. I focus on the effects of transport processes of angular momentum and chemical species in stellar interiors on the stellar structure and on the surface properties. I study in particular giant stars modeling their theoretical oscillation spectrum, and comparing theoretical patterns with spectroscopic, asteroseismic and astrometric observations. I investigate in detail the consequences of these aspects on the chemical evolution of our Galaxy ; and on the properties of Galactic stellar populations. All these theoretical developments are strongly connected with observational projects on European and American facilities.
