Dans un répertoire de votre chois, comme par exemple ~/eldk_arm/mes_programmes, créer et éditer un fichier helloworld.c contenant :

Compilation pour i386 :

$gcc -o helloworld helloworld.c
$./helloworld
Hello World! 
$ file helloworld 
helloworld: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.6.8, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped

Compilation pour arm :

$arm-linux-gcc -o helloworld helloworld.c 
$ file helloworld 
helloworld: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, ARM, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.6.14, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped
